I read Lenore Skenazy's book in one day and my kids have been Free Range since then. I think we maybe already were doing this, but now we do it consciously. It's different, but we live in an urban area and I am making sure my girls know how to navigate it as well as any other place they find themselves in. I love that you've discovered 'free ranging'!

This has been such a fun blog entry--what a great idea! You found so many finds in one week. I've been thinking about you while I've been reading this book b/c I know you'd love it: Dark Star Safari: Overland from Cairo to Cape Town, by Paul Theroux.
