i've been feeling slammed up against a wall of tough decisions and not enough time. it's a bit of a rough patch chez urbanearthmama so instead of bitching about crap you don't want to hear about anyway, i thought i'd share this photo essay from one of the blogs i discovered through your suggestions.
i am in love with the story these wedding photos tell. go see for yourself. it's like 4-d photography if you ask me. (and i'm partial to their son, who reminds me an awful lot of satchel.)
i love the wind-blown hair, the wind-blownness of it all. the fringed moccasins on the flower girls. the cozy, colorful vintage afgans.
this photo...pretty cool, right? and the composition of this one.
and this little girl who brought them all together as a family.
anyway, their love story gave me a little dose of happy this week and i thought i'd share it with you all.
and this is *exactly* why i want to learn how to take photos. there is a visual story tell if you just know how.
Maybe it's the full moon but I think there's a lot of wall-slamming going on right about now (or is that just me?). It's Friday evening..I can now open a bottle of wine and drink it all, if I so wish. BTW, totally (TOTALLY) off the point..but do you have Zara kids' clothes there? Spanish brand? I was thinking of you and Satchel when buying Oisin (my 9 year old boy, with hair the same length as Satchel, except without a fringe) a gorgeous shirt in there. You can pick up some great bits in there.
As for your post..fab pictures. It's exactly what I would love to be able to do - tell a story, but not a clue how to start.
