Here I am, suspended somewhere between something and something else and I find myself pondering the ridiculous and silly. Especially as it relates to food. I love food. I love to cook and to eat and to share meals and to feed others.
So indulge me here, I have a few curiosities and I'm hoping you will oblige.

I am so hungry. So why not think about food?
Butter on your corn or not?
Butter, unless it's very fresh Silver Queen.
When it comes to mayonnaise: Kraft, Best Foods, Miracle Whip, Nayonnaise?
Hellman's, which a previous commenter noted is likely the East Coast version of Best.
Potatoes, baked or mashed?
Mashed, with gravy made from whichever bird I've roasted.
Pasta - do you sauce the whole pot or let everyone sauce their own?
Sauce the whole pot. That's the Italian way.
Artichokes are best served with mayonnaise, butter, lemon or nothing?
Garlic butter. VERY garlicy butter.
Pies or cobblers?
If I'm baking, it's a cobbler, I never mastered pie crust. If someone else did the baking, I'll cheerfully eat either.
Corn tortillas or flour?
Flour.
Water, sparkling, with lemon, with lime, with cucumber, with nothing?
Sparkling or still, with lots of lemon juice.
Mimosa or Blood Mary?
I'd rather have a Kir Royale, but if I have to choose between the two I'd take a Bloody Mary (with Tabasco, not horseradish). I hate orange juice with a passion usually reserved for cockroaches and skunks.
Toast or english muffins?
English muffin, with WAY too much butter, please.
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier?
Just make it cold and keep pouring.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Cab Franc?
Why is Shiraz not on this list?
Pinot?
Noir.
Do you prefer whipped cream or ice cream with dessert?
Since I can't have dairy, and think soy ice cream is nasty, it's Cool Whip for me.
Chocolate or fruit?
Chocolate!

Chicken, fish, beans.
If you can't get fresh produce, do you use frozen or canned?
Frozen. I use a lot of canned tomatoes, though.
Spice of choice - cumin, curry, oregano, chili flakes, taragon, marjoram?
Cumin, couldn't live without it. But I'd really shrivel up and die if I lost access to a wide variety of hot sauces.
Salt - iodized, kosher, sea?
I use plain (non-iodized) for baking and brining, kosher for seasoning food as I cook.
Braggs or soy sauce?
Soy sauce. Or fish sauce!
Brown rice or white?
White - jasmine, basmati or arborio. I really want to eat brown rice, but white just tastes so much better.
Peaches or nectarines?
Chocolate.

How fun! This one is coming from a bland eater (as you know) and a mostly "eat to live" gal...
Butter on your corn or not? A disgrace if not.
When it comes to mayonnaise: Kraft, Best Foods, Miracle Whip, Nayonnaise? I don't do Mayo...
Potatoes, baked or mashed? Mmmm to both. I think baked is safer, ya know? You don't have to worry about what kind of consistency the mashed should be.
Pasta - do you sauce the whole pot or let everyone sauce their own? Whole pot.
Artichokes are best served with mayonnaise, butter, lemon or nothing? Never had 'em.
Pies or cobblers? Um, I'm not sure of the difference. I like chocolate! So as long as they are chocolate, it doesn't matter.
Corn tortillas or flour? Corn for tostadas and tacos. Flour for burritos and wraps.
Water, sparkling, with lemon, with lime, with cucumber, with nothing? Water with nothing.
Mimosa or Blood Mary? Neither (I drink wine or frou-frou drinks)...How 'bout Sangria?!
Toast or english muffins? English muffins.
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier? Pinot.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Cab Franc? Merlot.
Pinot? Yes.
Do you prefer whipped cream or ice cream with dessert? Whipped cream.

Salt - iodized, kosher, sea? Sea salt
Braggs or soy sauce? Braggs

Peaches or nectarines? Neither (I just don't like fruit. I wish I did!)
XOXO

Wow, this is great! What fun! =)
Butter on your corn or not? Usually with, and a tiny sprinkle of salt. Oh, and cut right off the cob.
When it comes to mayonnaise: Kraft, Best Foods, Miracle Whip, Nayonnaise? - Best Foods.
Potatoes, baked or mashed? I don't think there's a wrong way to eat a 'tater. They're their own food group, right? =)
Pasta - do you sauce the whole pot or let everyone sauce their own? - It depends -- I like to sauce my own plate but sometimes it's best to sauce the whole pot.
Artichokes are best served with mayonnaise, butter, lemon or nothing? Great on their own or with lemon, but usually a little mayo.
Pies or cobblers? Cobblers!
Corn tortillas or flour? Flour for burritos and quesadillas, corn for tacos.
Water, sparkling, with lemon, with lime, with cucumber, with nothing? - If it's still a little lemon is great. If sparkling, it stands on it's own for me personally.
Mimosa or Blood Mary? - Mimosa -- any drink that involves champagne is perfect in my book!
Toast or english muffins? - Again, depends on what you're preparing. Definitely muffins for something like Eggs Benedict, but a simple piece of toast with butter and preserves is also great.
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier? - Sauvignon Blanc
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Cab Franc? - Being a fan of Napa wines, I'd say Cabs all the way. Then A good Zin or Merlot.
Pinot? - Not sure.
Do you prefer whipped cream or ice cream with dessert? - Screamin' for ice cream!
Chocolate or fruit? - How about fruit WITH chocolate? No? Then just chocolate. =)
Steak, chicken, pork, fish, tofu, tempeh, seitan, beans? - Hate to admit this, but I eat way too much steak. Terrible, I know.
If you can't get fresh produce, do you use frozen or canned? - Frozen. Produce out of a can just seems wrong to me, most of the time.
Spice of choice - cumin, curry, oregano, chili flakes, taragon, marjoram? - Looove curry.
Salt - iodized, kosher, sea? - Again, kinda depends. Iodized for baking, sea for grilling, kosher for whatever else. ??
Braggs or soy sauce? - Actually haven't heard of Braggs. So, soy sauce it is!
Brown rice or white? - Definitely trying to use brown rice whenever possible.
Peaches or nectarines? - Peaches.

Butter on your corn or not?
May I roll the cob of corn in the butter, please? And then some salt and black pepper on top... Yummy, Yummy!
When it comes to mayonnaise: Kraft, Best Foods, Miracle Whip, Nayonnaise?
I'm Dutch - so Calve. Not sure if that one is for sale in the States at all.
Potatoes, baked or mashed?
Baked
Pasta - do you sauce the whole pot or let everyone sauce their own?
Carbonara always with sauce in the whole pot. All other pastas served on the plates with a couple of spoonfuls of sauce on top.
Artichokes are best served with mayonnaise, butter, lemon or nothing?
With a vinaigrette to dip them in.
Pies or cobblers?
Pie
Corn tortillas or flour?
Both, depending on the mood.
Water, sparkling, with lemon, with lime, with cucumber, with nothing?
Either plain, sparkling, with lemon or lime - never tried with cucumber... Sounds nice though.
Mimosa or Blood Mary?
Mimosa at brunch; daiquiris or mojitos at night.
Toast or english muffins?
Is an English muffin the same as a scone? I'd go for a scone.
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier? Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Cab Franc? Pinot?
I lived in France. That means that the choice of wine should fit the food served.
Do you prefer whipped cream or ice cream with dessert?
Ice cream
Chocolate or fruit?
Chocolate
Steak, chicken, pork, fish, tofu, tempeh, seitan, beans?
Steak, chicken, fish, tofu or legumes.
If you can't get fresh produce, do you use frozen or canned?
Canned
Spice of choice - cumin, curry, oregano, chili flakes, taragon, marjoram?
Depends on the cuisine
Salt - iodized, kosher, sea?
Sea
Braggs or soy sauce?
Soy sauce, but that choice is simple cause I've never had Braggs.
Brown rice or white?
White
Peaches or nectarines?
Nectarines

Butter on your corn or not? Yes, with salt too
Mayonnaise: Best Foods! (Although out here, Best Foods is called Hellmenz or something like that.. has same logo and taste.)
Potatoes, baked or mashed? Mashed, but I'll take 'em any way you can serve 'em
Pasta - sauce the whole pot
Artichokes are best butter
Pies!!
Flour tortillas
Water, with nothing (I like plain old tap water)
Mimosa, because I've never had a proper Blood Mary
English muffins (with honey!)
I'm skipping all the wine questions... I've had wine twice, once was a bad red and the other was Arbor Mist. :P I like beer.
Whipped cream with dessert-I like melted ice cream which doesn't go with most desserts
Fruit
Steak!!
If you can't get fresh produce, I use canned?
Spice of choice - oregano (I use garlic most of all though)
Sea salt
Soy sauce
White rice
Peaches

Most of my answers depend on my mood so I don't know how much help I'll be.
Buttered corn depends on if I'm trying to cut calories or not. That can change from day to day. ;-)
Mayo, Best Foods only (if I use any)
Potatoes, anyway except cold. I can't stand potato salad. Ick!
Pasta, I sauce the whole pot.
I don't know about artichokes. I've only eaten the hearts.
Pies, I'm not a big pie fan though. I really only like sweet potato (pumpkin is a close second) and peach.
Corn tortillas or flour? Depends on the meal.
Water, with lemon please.
Mimosa. My mom and I used to make allmosas (orange juice and ginger ale) when I was a kid. Loved them!
I've been on an english muffin kick lately.
I like the pale, slightly sweet stuff. What kind of wine is that?
Ice cream is probably my favorite food in the world next to pizza and oreos.
Chocolate, always. Again, I guess it depends on if I'm trying to "be good".
Steak, chicken, or fish.
I prefer frozen but I sometimes use canned corn and green beans.
Oregano, blame it on my Italian husband.
Kosher salt is my favorite.
Braggs or soy sauce? I dunno.
Always brown rice. I haven't purchased white in years.
Nectarines. I love the taste of peaches but I can't stand the fuzz.

Potatoes, baked or mashed? Baked and loaded
Pasta - do you sauce the whole pot or let everyone sauce their own? I've done both
Artichokes are best served with mayonnaise, butter, lemon or nothing? Garlic butter
Pies or cobblers? Cobblers
Corn tortillas or flour? Definitely flour, not a big fan of corn tortillas
Water, sparkling, with lemon, with lime, with cucumber, with nothing? Sparkling with lemon or lime, ice cold
Mimosa or Blood Mary? Depends on the mood, I wouldn't turn down either!
Toast or english muffins? English muffins
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier? Chardonnay - but I really don't know wine at all
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Cab Franc? Merlot
Pinot? Like it
Do you prefer whipped cream or ice cream with dessert? Ice cream, never a fan of whipped cream (does that make me weird?)
Chocolate or fruit? No contest - chocolate!
Steak, chicken, pork, fish, tofu, tempeh, seitan, beans? First four - I like me some meat!
If you can't get fresh produce, do you use frozen or canned? Not usually, except for canned corn and tomatoes. I do have a bread casserole recipe that calls for canned asparagus which is great, you wouldn't want to use fresh asparagus for it...
Spice of choice - cumin, curry, oregano, chili flakes, taragon, marjoram? Cumin and curry, and I like a little fire to my food so chili flakes are always good too
Salt - iodized, kosher, sea? Kosher or sea
Braggs or soy sauce? Soy sauce
Brown rice or white? White, bad I know but I just don't like brown rice, never have
Peaches or nectarines? Nectarines
That was fun - when you get a chance could you share some more of your recipes with us? Or maybe create a special recipes section. They always sound soooo good and I love to be able to cook healthy things for my family. Congrats on completing your run!

Oh Brooke, I love your food game. I love food so much, too. Since my pukey days are gone...all I can think about is what to create for dinner (which I have been doing a very yummy job at lately! Baby likes good whole foods, not animal products though, except fish, so I have to get really creative)
-----
Butter on your corn or not? Ah, hell yeah, why bother? I use Earth Balance, too, which i really love.
When it comes to mayonnaise: Kraft, Best Foods, Miracle Whip, Nayonnaise? VEGANAISE is by far the best choice. If not then pure canola mayonnaise.
Potatoes, baked or mashed? All of the above. I also love little red potatoes boiled and roasted rocks with a bit of salt, pepper and rosemary.
Pasta - do you sauce the whole pot or let everyone sauce their own? Um, I often wonder. I worry it will not be sauced enough so I tend to let everyone do their own.
Artichokes are best served with mayonnaise, butter, lemon or nothing? I do Veganaise, lemon, a bit of olive oil and salt. Oh god, I think I am cumming thinking about it...
Pies or cobblers? Who cares. Both if you are baking.
Corn tortillas or flour? Depends. Fish tacos: corn. Burrito: flour.
Water, sparkling, with lemon, with lime, with cucumber, with nothing? Plain with lemon. Sparkling with mint.
Mimosa or Blood Mary? As long as it's booze, gimme both.
Toast or english muffins? I love both. Crispy and wet with butter and jam.
Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier? Pinot Grigio.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Zinfandel, Cab Franc? what's the dryest Miss. Wine Country? That's my answer.
Do you prefer whipped cream or ice cream with dessert? Whipped.
Chocolate or fruit? Summertime I go for fruits for sure...wintertime it's dark chocolate.
Steak, chicken, pork, fish, tofu, tempeh, seitan, beans? My diet consists of beans and fish right now.
If you can't get fresh produce, do you use frozen or canned? Never, except for yesterday I used a bag of organic frozen spinach to make a very fast garbanzo and spinach curry and it was so good. Canned tomatoes too, with lots of garlic and garaam masala.
Spice of choice - cumin, curry, oregano, chili flakes, taragon, marjoram? CUMIN and MORE CUMIN!
Salt - iodized, kosher, sea? SEA, fer sure.
Braggs or soy sauce? Bragg-a-licious.
Brown rice or white? Both depending on mood. Brown mostly, but there is nothing more lovely than the smell of white Jasmine rice slow cooking. Yum.
Peaches or nectarines? Peaches. Fresh juicy peaches. Wish I had one right now. But you are a peach and I get to SEE YOU in A WEEK! What will we eat....???????
love you

Buttered with salt and pepper.
Miracle Whip.
Baked.
Recently, I've been saucing the whole pot, but I never used to. Except Peter's been picky and wants his sauce on the side, so it's risky.
Hate artichokes.
I don't see cobblers much around here, so pies.
Flour.
With lemon or nothing.
Mimosa
English muffins
Chardonnay
I don't drink much red
Pinot? No.
Ice cream.
Chocolate
Steak or chicken
Frozen
Not too picky so long as it isn't super-strong (I'm a Midwesterner). I don't like thyme much, but that's not on your list :)
Iodized, but the others are fine and I'm just too lazy to get them.
Braggs or soy sauce? Either
Brown rice or white? Lately we've made more brown.
Peaches or nectarines? Mmm, either.
